2016 marked my first year as a wedding photographer working full time! After years of doing it in part-time, my love for photographing couples on the best day of their lives won over me and I made the jump!
So do I think the jump was worth it? Totally!! I couldn't be happier with my job and I'm still as in love with photography as ever.
Choosing my favorite photos isn't easy, not easy at all!
First, because going through over 25,000 shots and choosing a few of the best is no easy task.
Second, because I'm more of a stories person. To me a single photograph isn't as strong as a coherent story, even if each picture in itself isn't as strong. So I had to rule out some of my absolute favorites because they were only meaningful within the bigger picture.
The big day starts!
As the groom and bride are getting ready, me and my camera are warming up for a day full of opportunities, balancing the excitement of the moment with having to save the energy for the long hours of work ahead.
This right here is what a Wedding is all about, emotions!
Can't get enough of them, because they, more than anything else, will tell the story of the day in true colors.
I believe my biggest task is to catch those fleeting moments, being constantly aware of my surroundings.
This is the part of the day where I will have the couple just for myself and away from the crowd.
Time to relax a little and have fun!
Let the party begin!
This is without a doubt the most demanding part of the day in terms of lighting but it can also be the most rewarding if I play the cards right.
By last but not the least, here they are!
If I had to choose my top 10 images for this year, these would be it.
